About Jan
Dr. Jan Lambrecht is a specialist in gastrointestinal surgery (gastrosurgery), robotic-assisted surgery and general surgery, with a PhD from the University of Oslo and over 25 years of clinical experience from both Norway and Denmark. He is a recognized expert in obesity surgery (bariatric and metabolic surgery), hernia and abdominal wall surgery, intestinal surgery (colorectal surgery) and robotic surgery, and is strongly committed to surgical innovation and education of the next generation.
He is currently a senior gastroenterologist at CMedical, with primary responsibility for robot-assisted treatment of severely obese patients. Here, he leads the development of safe and effective treatment protocols, where surgical precision and patient safety are at the center.
Jan has gained extensive experience through positions at Oslo University Hospital, Innlandet Hospital and the University Hospital of Northern Norway, among others. He has been a driving force in the development of advanced, minimally invasive techniques – that is, gentle surgery through small incisions. He regularly teaches surgeons both nationally and internationally.
