About Cennet
Cennet Akdeniz is a specialist in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. She obtained her medical degree (Cand.med.) from the University of Oslo in 2013 and has extensive clinical experience from both Drammen Hospital and Oslo University Hospital. Since 2020, she has worked as a consultant at Oslo University Hospital, where she has developed broad expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Akdeniz has particular experience in the evaluation and management of thyroid disorders. She also works extensively with lipid disorders and high cholesterol, focusing on thorough assessment and individualized treatment to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
She evaluates and treats patients with hypertension, including both essential hypertension and secondary hypertension caused by underlying hormonal conditions. In addition, she has clinical experience with adrenal and pituitary disorders, including hormone deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and pituitary adenomas.
Dr. Akdeniz also works with diabetes and metabolic health, with a particular focus on the management of type 2 diabetes and metabolic optimisation. She further evaluates and treats osteoporosis and calcium metabolism disorders, as well as hormonal conditions such as gonadal failure, including cases occurring after cancer treatment.
