About Erik
Senior Consultant PhD Erik Berg is a specialist in plastic surgery and graduated from the University of Oslo in 1999. Erik is a specialist in plastic surgery from Haukeland University Hospital and has over 20 years of experience in the industry before joining our team at CMedical. He has worked at a wide range of public and private institutions, and has extensive experience in plastic, hand and reconstructive surgery as well as from the National Burn Center.
He performs both breast, body and facial surgery.
The combination of solid expertise, an open approach, a good aesthetic eye and the desire for natural results has made him a sought-after surgeon in cosmetic surgery.
Erik places great emphasis on ensuring that the patient feels well cared for throughout the entire treatment process.
Erik has extensive experience with reconstruction after skin cancer, breast cancer, congenital malformations and traumatology including advanced hand injuries. He performs all types of cosmetic procedures, and has in-depth knowledge of cosmetic breast surgery, fat grafting, liposuction and body shaping procedures, including tummy tucks and body lifts. Berg is committed to the most natural result possible, and therefore also offers a "hybrid technique" where he combines breast implants with fat grafting (hybrid).
He has a doctorate in cleft lip, jaw and palate, and his doctoral work in congenital facial deformities received great publicity, and was chosen as an editorial in the internationally renowned journal JAMA Pediatrics.
Erik started his work as a plastic surgeon at the Fana Private Hospital in Bergen, and has later been responsible for the development of cosmetic surgery as a medically responsible physician at the award-winning Klinikk Arendal, Agder's largest cosmetic clinic.
He has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Bergen for several years, a member of the Research Group for Genetic Epidemiology, and a former member of the Speciality Committee in Plastic Surgery, Norwegian Plastic Surgery Association, a professional body that guarantees the education of new plastic surgeons in Norway.
Erik is a member of the Norwegian Medical Association and the Norwegian Plastic Surgery Association.
