About urinary incontinence
Almost 25% of all women experience urinary incontinence during their lifetime — something that reduces quality of life. With us you meet some of the country’s leading specialists in urinary incontinence, and you receive effective treatment for all types of urinary leakage, tailored to you.
Stress incontinence
Leakage during physical activity, coughing or laughing is usually due to weakened connective tissue/muscles that support the urethra and bladder. It typically follows childbirth or heavy physical work.
Urge incontinence
A sudden strong urge to pass urine followed by leakage. You often need to visit the toilet frequently and may not always reach it in time. This is caused by faulty nerve signals to the bladder muscle so it contracts uncontrollably.
_Chronic UTI or bladder-wall inflammation can be mistaken for urge symptoms; we can treat this too._
Mixed incontinence
A combination of stress and urge; which type dominates varies from person to person.
