About Birgitte
Dr. Birgitte Aspenes is a medical doctor from the University of Oslo. After a few years as a general practitioner, she specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at Bærum Hospital, where she has worked as a consultant. She also has experience from the surgical department at Bærum Hospital and the women's clinic at Ullevål Hospital.
In recent years, Dr. Aspenes has worked as a private practice specialist. She has extensive experience and can help you with all gynecological issues, such as contraception guidance, cell changes, bleeding disorders, menopause, PMS/PMDD, PMOS and urinary incontinence. She is a member of and works in Bayer's Nordic Menopause Council, and has particular expertise in treatment and follow-up during menopause. As a gynecological surgeon, she also operates on vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence here at our clinic.
She is particularly keen to explain and provide good information, so that the patient understands their own diagnosis and gains a sense of clarity and control.
