About Marc
Dr. Marc Jacob Strauss is a specialist in orthopedic surgery and a certified sports physician through the IOC. He has broad experience in advanced knee surgery, with particular expertise in sports-related knee injuries, cruciate ligament injuries, and complex ligament reconstructions.
Marc has worked in a number of leading national and international environments. He has completed a fellowship under Professor Lars Engebretsen, worked as a research fellow with Dr. Robert LaPrade at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado (2018–2019), and has experience from Olympiatoppen, Oslo University Hospital, and the Sports Clinic at Aarhus University Hospital.
For many years, he has been closely involved in elite sports, including serving as team physician for the Norwegian alpine skiing national team since 2014, and previously as team physician for the Danish Football Association (DBU) for the U16 and U19 national teams.
Marc is in the final phase of his PhD in cruciate ligament surgery and has published a number of scientific articles and book chapters. He is active in international professional communities through ESSKA, ISAKOS, and the ACL Study Group, and regularly contributes as a lecturer at national and international courses and conferences.
