About Marc
Dr. Marc Jacob Strauss is a specialist in orthopedic surgery and a certified sports medicine physician through the IOC. He has extensive experience in advanced knee surgery, with particular expertise in sports-related knee injuries, cruciate ligament injuries, and complex ligament reconstructions.
Marc has worked in a number of leading national and international environments. He has held a fellowship with Professor Lars Engebretsen, was a research fellow with Dr. Robert LaPrade at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado (2018–2019), and has experience from Olympiatoppen, Oslo University Hospital, and the Sports Clinic at Aarhus University Hospital.
He has been close to top sport for many years, including as a national team doctor for the Norwegian alpine team since 2014, and previously as a national team doctor for the Danish Boldspil Union (DBU) for the U16 and U19 national teams.
Marc is in the final stages of his PhD in cruciate ligament surgery and has published a number of scientific articles and book chapters. He is active in international professional communities through ESSKA, ISAKOS and the ACL study group, and regularly contributes as a lecturer at national and international courses and conferences.
