About Nicolai
Nicolai Wessel is an experienced specialist in surgery and urology with particular expertise in laparoscopic urological procedures and the treatment of prostate cancer. A former consultant at Aker Hospital, he is regarded as one of Europe's most experienced surgeons and urologists in robot-assisted surgery. Nicolai began working with robotic surgery in 2007, after five years of experience in laparoscopic kidney and prostate surgery, and has performed more than 1,400 robot-assisted prostate cancer operations.
He has also taken part in research published in respected journals such as the Scandinavian Journal of Urology, European Urology (published by the European Association of Urology), Urology, Nutrition and Cancer, Neurourology and Urodynamics, and The Journal of Urology (published by the American Urological Association).
