Robot-assisted surgery is an advanced yet gentle form of treatment. As with conventional keyhole surgery, the operation is performed through small openings in the skin. The surgeon controls the instruments electronically from a console beside the patient. Robot-held instruments enable exceptionally precise movements, while a high-resolution stereoscopic 3D camera gives the surgeon an outstanding view.
