At CMedical, we offer both standard hip arthroscopy and more advanced hip procedures.

Treatment of injuries within the hip joint itself can be performed as keyhole surgery using modern techniques. Hip arthroscopy can often repair damage to preserve the joint for as long as possible. The more damaged the joint is, the less certain it is that the joint will become completely pain-free. Severe damage can eventually necessitate hip replacement. Most patients experience significant relief after approximately 3 months.

Hip arthroscopy is performed through small incisions (keyholes) providing the surgeon access to the hip joint. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 1–2 hours. After surgery, you will be monitored before returning home, usually after 1–2 hours. A follow-up appointment at the outpatient clinic is scheduled approximately 6–8 weeks post-surgery. The duration of sick leave depends on the surgery and work duties, ranging from 4–6 weeks.
