About Issa
Issa investigates and treats diseases of the urinary tract, particularly focusing on prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
He is an experienced robotic surgeon and has performed over 1,000 robotic surgeries since 2011. He has served at Linköping University Hospital, Malmö University Hospital, and Ryhov County Hospital.
In 2017 and 2018, he developed and presented a minimally invasive technique as an alternative to conventional open adenomectomy for patients with urinary symptoms due to significantly enlarged prostates (over 100 grams). Issa has trained robotic surgeons in this technique at several hospitals in both Sweden and Denmark.
