Infertilitet

About infertility
Many people find it difficult to get pregnant on their own. As many as 1 in 6 experience infertility, meaning that pregnancy has not been successful despite repeated attempts for a year or more.
Unfortunately, many people say they feel a sense of shame connected to infertility. This is probably also why many choose to postpone seeing a gynecologist. If you are experiencing involuntary childlessness, we recommend contacting us for a fertility check if you are in one of these two situations:
- Women aged 35 or younger: If you are a woman aged 35 or younger, you should contact us for a fertility check if you have not become pregnant within 12 months. Also get in touch if you have problems with ovulation or infrequent/irregular periods.
- Women aged 36 or older: If you are a woman aged 36 or older, you should contact us for a fertility check if you have not become pregnant within six months.
There can be many causes of involuntary childlessness, and they are not necessarily related to age.
We can divide the challenges into four categories:
- Female factor
- Male factor
- A combination of the two
- Unexplained causes
It is important to remember that infertility affects as many men as it does women.
